• Exact model — Nectar Premier Hybrid. Checked 2026-08-26. The mid-tier of Nectar’s four hybrid models — Classic, Premier, Luxe, Ultra. Nectar sells those same four names in a parallel all-foam line, so eight mattresses share four names. This is not the all-foam Nectar Premier covered by our separate memory-foam review, and not the entry Classic Hybrid.
• Type — Memory-foam hybrid. Checked 2026-08-26. 2 inches of gel-infused memory foam and 2 inches of polyfoam over an 8-inch pocketed-coil unit with a reinforced perimeter and a 1-inch polyfoam base. The only construction difference from the cheaper Classic Hybrid is one extra inch of memory foam plus cooling fibres in the cover — the coil unit is identical.
• Firmness — Firm (7/10) measured. Checked 2026-08-26. Nectar’s product page describes the feel as medium. The independent lab places it at 7 of 10 — the same firmness rating it gave the $400-cheaper Classic Hybrid. One firmness only; there is no softer option in this model.
• Height — 13 inches. Checked 2026-08-26. One inch taller than the Classic Hybrid, and that inch is entirely comfort layer rather than extra support — the coil unit is the same 8 inches in both.
• Price — $1,199 queen (current). Checked 2026-08-26. $400 above the Classic Hybrid. Nectar advertises against a "Total Value" figure rather than a struck regular price, so treat the promotional price as the effective everyday price. A NectarCool cover upgrade adds $99.
• Trial — 365-night home trial. Checked 2026-08-26. Nectar asks buyers to keep the mattress for a 30-night break-in before requesting a return, which matters more here than usual — memory foam this thick changes feel over the first few weeks.
• Delivery — Free compressed-box shipping. Checked 2026-08-26. Ships in one to two days, free to the 48 contiguous states. Alaska and Hawaii carry a fee, and White Glove setup with old-mattress removal costs extra in most areas.
• Returns — Free pickup and full refund during trial. Checked 2026-08-26. After the 30-night break-in, Nectar arranges pickup and refunds the purchase price. Returns are free rather than fee-deducted, which is more generous than several rivals at this price.
• Warranty — Forever Warranty (lifetime limited). Checked 2026-08-26. Covers material and manufacturing defects for as long as you own the mattress. Normal softening, general wear, and accidental damage are excluded — and softening is the change most likely to affect a 2-inch memory-foam comfort layer.
• Firmness — Firm (7/10). Measured data. Firmer than the "medium" descriptor on Nectar’s own product page. Expect noticeable pushback under the hips rather than a plush surface — the thick top layer deepens the contour without softening the bed.
• Pressure relief — 7.5 / 10 test-lab rating. Measured data. The 2-inch gel memory-foam layer cradles hips and shoulders deeply enough to relieve joint pressure, which is what this model is built to do. Contouring, not softness, is the mechanism.
• Cooling — 7.5 / 10 test-lab rating. Measured data. Respectable, but short of what the cover marketing implies. Sinking further into memory foam puts more skin against the surface, and that outweighs the added fibres for most sleepers.
• Motion isolation — 7.5 / 10 test-lab rating. Measured data. Adequate for most couples — the thick top layer damps a partner’s movement reasonably well — though a coil core still carries more than an all-foam bed if you wake at the slightest disturbance.
• Response / bounce — 7 / 10 ease-of-movement rating. Measured data. The weaker half of the memory-foam bargain: a deeper cradle takes more effort to climb out of, so rolling over asks a little more of you than a springier build would.
• Edge support — 7 / 10 test-lab rating. Measured data. The weakest measured result on this mattress. The lab attributes it to the contouring foam compressing at the perimeter — reinforced coils are present, but the soft layer above them gives way when you sit on the side.
